Educating the Whole Child:
Mind, Body and Spirit.
Under the direction of Bishop Hartley in 1924, the parishioners of St. John the Evangelist Church broke ground to make way for St. John School. The following year, the doors opened for the first 144 students. Now, with more than 90 years of academic excellence, the school continues to serve the local community while providing students with a solid foundation in the Catholic faith and a quality education based on family values.
The philosophy and mission of our school is to educate every child to the fullest of his or her potential and to prepare each student for a role in the world as a Catholic adult. We are committed to teaching the love of God, others, and self. St. John School, in close and vital cooperation with our parents, enjoys the challenge of educating and preparing our children to advance to the next level with the knowledge, skills, and courage needed to be successful.
St. John School is fully accredited by the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association. Through these guidelines, St. John School uses a school improvement plan to guide academic and spiritual growth in our school community. Progress reviews assist in fulfilling the requirements and assessing the effectiveness of our improvement plan.
